Hallway Textures
In Strata controlled buildings with uniquely stylized walls, maintenance and repairs can become an issue. Matching textured walls from something 65 years old becomes more about ‘art work’ and less about standard construction methods. PC Construction Ltd has spent many years working on Heritage buildings from the early 1900’s giving an understanding to replicating traditional builds.

From Plaster to Drywall
The original walls for this 12 story condo in 1961 were carried up to each living space in a bucket. Even though in the 1950s and 1960s, drywall began to take over from lath and plaster there were still some purest that held on to past traditions. There were downsides to plaster walls though, which included cracking since plaster did not do well with harmonics and flexing. In these images PC Construction Ltd was requested to remove the cracking plaster wall and replace it with better insulation and what is now traditional drywall. The end result is a better weather and sound insulated exterior wall.
